VW PQ Headunit AppConnect Activation offers you the ability to enable Apple CarPlay & Android Auto to enjoy a safer driving experience. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are capable of displaying useful apps, such as Waze, Google Maps, Spotify, Apple Music, and many more. Siri is also integrated within CarPlay to provide a more enhanced hands-free experience.
Using our smart SD Card solution, we can easily activate AppConnect in your VW, if you have a MIB2 PQ headunit in your car. MIB2 PQ headunits were installed in 2015+ cars. This is just a software activation, and no hardware changes are made. Only Wired Carplay + Android Auto is possible, Not wireless.
This activates AppConnect and Voice Control.
Remotely: You’ll receive activation files + complete step-by-step instructions. Requires a Windows laptop + SD card. Activation takes 20 minutes.

IMPORTANT NOTES
Some 2015/16 cars may need USB port changing & coding to allow Apple Carplay.
Please ensure your entire touch screen is functioning, particularly the right side.
No refunds will be issued once the order is processed, as the files are locked to your car’s VIN number. Please do NOT attempt to use these on different cars or head units, as it may cause the head unit to become non-functional.
A safer way to use your mobile phone while travelling in your car. Apple CarPlay & Android Auto allow you to seamlessly integrate your mobile phone with your car’s head unit. You can use apps such as Google Maps, Waze, Spotify, Apple Music, and many more supported apps. It even allows you to integrate calls, text and music. On Audi, you have to connect your phone via cable, and it will start CarPlay/Android Auto.
Q1. What features will this activation provide me with?
This will activate AppConnect, which allows you access to Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Voice Control activation is also included.
Q2. How long does this process normally take?
The process takes around 20 minutes.
Q3. My car doesn’t have the AppConnect option. Can it still be done?
No.
Q4. Where will this activation take place? Do I need to bring the car to you?
Activation can be done remotely using just an SD Card and a Windows laptop. Or you can bring it down to our workshop in Bradford.
